Rakia Clark is a senior editor at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. She acquires serious and literary nonfiction about contemporary culture, politics, the arts, sports, and anything social justice-oriented. She occasionally acquires fiction, where her tastes lean towards diverse marginalized voices with big, big emotions. Prior to HMH, Rakia was a senior editor at Beacon Press, Kensington, Viking and HarperCollins. A proud Atlanta native, she’s still upset the Falcons lost to the Patriots in the Super Bowl that one time.
