Monica Macansantos is the author of the forthcoming memoir-in-essays, Returning to my Father’s Kitchen, which will be published by Northwestern University Press/Curbstone Books in 2024, as well as the story collection, Love and Other Rituals (Grattan Street Press, 2022). Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Colorado Review, The Hopkins Review, Bennington Review, and Literary Hub, among other places. She has been awarded residencies at Hedgebrook, the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts, the I-Park Foundation, and Storyknife Writers Retreat. She holds an MFA in Fiction and Poetry from the Michener Center for Writers at the University of Texas at Austin, and a PhD in English and Creative Writing from the Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand.
