Jill Kolongowski is the author of the Substack newsletter Tiny True Stories, the essay collection Life Lessons Harry Potter Taught Me (Ulysses Press, 2017), with other essays in Brevity, Sweet: A Literary Confection, River Teeth, the Los Angeles Review of Books, and elsewhere. Jill earned her MFA from Saint Mary’s College of California, and teaches at College of San Mateo. She’s working on a new book about how the anxiety of being a young woman turned into the anxiety of being a mother, and how we survive the terror and the joy.
