Kim’s writing has been published in numerous literary journals. Her short story collection, The Strangeness of Men, won an Independent Publisher Book Award and a USA Best Book Award. She is a grassroots social justice advocate who founded Liberal Women of Chesterfield County & Beyond. She advocates for awareness of PANS – Pediatric Acute-Onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome and is currently living with stage four breast cancer. Her journey has been featured in publications and broadcasts, such as CNN, BBC, The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, and foreign press as far away as Japan. She has a husband and three children who she loves dearly. Kim enjoys good drink, travel, art, and her chihuahuas. She’s blessed to have seen her youngest son grow taller than herself.
