Maui Smith is an aspiring poet raised just outside of Cleveland, OH. Their poems “maple heights” and “root” appear in Volume II of Club Plum Literary Journal and Volume IV of Oyster River Pages, respectively. They began rewriting Anansi folktales at age four and have not stopped writing since. When they’re not drafting, they can be found making their own earrings, exploring local tea shops, and completing their undergraduate degree in Information Science at the University of Pittsburgh.
